Daytop New Jersey at Crawford House held its annual spring dinner on Thursday, May 11th at The Bedens Brook Club in Skillman. This year, Ann Nawn, was honored. Ann has made an intense impact on the woman by starting an equine therapy program. Through interactions with horses, and with help from an equine therapist, the women discover and explore behaviors and relationship patterns that have become problematic in their day-to-day lives. Equine therapy offers an effective and creative way for the woman to learn about things like self-worth and personal integrity, healthy relationships, and effective communication.
The spring dinner raised $146,000 to continue the life-altering work of providing transitional-housing and treatment to women in early recovery from addiction to drugs and alcohol. The evening included an array of exciting and unusual silent auction items, dinner and music.
